Orders and Acceptance

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit an order if:

  • Payment cannot be verified

  • Product information is incomplete

  • Personalization details are unclear

  • Submitted artwork cannot be used

  • An item is unavailable

  • We reasonably believe an order may involve fraud, misuse, or unauthorized activity

If an order is canceled after payment has been processed and production has not begun, the appropriate refund will be issued.

Personalized and Custom Orders

Many products sold by The Makers Joint are made to order and personalized specifically for each customer.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate personalization details, including:

  • Names

  • Dates

  • Initials

  • Quotes

  • Logos

  • Artwork

  • Spelling

  • Capitalization

  • Special instructions

Personalization will be created using the information submitted with the order.

Please review all customization details carefully before completing your purchase.

The Makers Joint is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect information submitted by the customer.

Custom Logos and Artwork

Customers who submit logos, artwork, photographs, graphics, or other content for customization confirm that they own the material or have permission to use it.

By submitting custom content, you authorize The Makers Joint to reproduce that content only as needed to create your requested product.

We reserve the right to decline artwork or customization requests that we cannot reasonably produce or that may violate applicable law or third-party rights.

Product Appearance

Many of our products are made from natural materials such as wood.

Natural variations may include differences in:

  • Wood grain

  • Color

  • Tone

  • Knots

  • Texture

  • Engraving appearance

These variations are normal and are not considered defects.

Product photographs are intended to represent the general appearance of an item, but each handmade or personalized piece may vary slightly.

Engraving and Handmade Variations

Because many products are engraved, finished, or assembled individually, small variations may occur from piece to piece.

These differences are part of the handmade and customized nature of the product.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that every item meets our quality standards before shipment.

Pricing

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.

Prices may change at any time without prior notice.

The price charged for an order will be the price displayed at checkout at the time the order is submitted.

Applicable shipping charges, taxes, and other fees may be added during checkout.

Payment

Payment is required at the time an order is placed unless otherwise agreed in writing for a custom or bulk order.

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers.

The Makers Joint does not directly store your complete credit or debit card information.

Processing Times

Most products are made to order.

Estimated processing times are displayed on the product page or communicated before purchase.

Processing time refers to the time required to create and prepare an order before shipment.

Processing estimates do not include shipping transit time.

Custom, bulk, or highly personalized orders may require additional production time.

Shipping

Orders are shipped to the address provided by the customer during checkout.

Customers are responsible for confirming that the shipping address is accurate before submitting the order.

Once an order has been transferred to the shipping carrier, delivery times may be affected by circumstances outside our control.

These may include:

  • Carrier delays

  • Weather

  • Holidays

  • Incorrect addresses

  • Regional service disruptions

Tracking information will be provided when available.

Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Packages

If an order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact The Makers Joint as soon as possible and provide photographs when appropriate.

We will review the issue and determine the appropriate resolution.

If tracking shows a package as delivered but you cannot locate it, please first check with household members, neighbors, the delivery location, and the shipping carrier.

Carrier delays do not automatically qualify an order for a refund.

Returns and Exchanges

Because many products are personalized or made to order, customized products are generally not eligible for returns or exchanges.

Returns or replacements may be considered when an item:

  • Arrives damaged

  • Arrives defective

  • Is materially different from what was ordered

  • Contains an error caused by The Makers Joint

Normal wood variation, grain differences, color variation, or characteristics of handmade production are not considered defects.

Cancellations and Changes

If you need to cancel or change an order, contact us as soon as possible.

Once production, engraving, customization, or material preparation has begun, the order may no longer be eligible for cancellation or modification.

Changes requested after production begins may require an additional fee.

Care and Use

Customers are responsible for following any care instructions provided with a product.

For wooden products, unless otherwise stated:

  • Hand wash only

  • Do not soak

  • Do not place in a dishwasher

  • Dry promptly after cleaning

  • Follow any oiling or conditioning instructions provided

Failure to follow recommended care instructions may damage the product and is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Gift Orders

Customers are responsible for providing the correct recipient name, shipping address, personalization information, and gift message if applicable.

We are not responsible for incorrect information submitted during checkout.

Bulk and Business Orders

Bulk, corporate, business, or custom production orders may be subject to separate pricing, production timelines, payment requirements, artwork requirements, or approval terms.

Any separate written quote or agreement provided for a custom bulk order may supplement these Terms & Conditions.

Intellectual Property

All original website content, branding, photographs, product descriptions, graphics, designs, and other materials created by The Makers Joint remain the property of The Makers Joint unless otherwise stated.

Customers may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or commercially use our original content without permission.

Customer-submitted logos and artwork remain the property of their respective owners.

Website Use

You agree not to use this website for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorized purposes.

You may not attempt to:

  • Interfere with the operation of the website

  • Access restricted systems or data

  • Use automated systems to misuse the website

  • Submit false or fraudulent information

  • Infringe the rights of The Makers Joint or any third party

Third-Party Services
